Kelly's Ford Riding School

The Kelly's Ford Riding School offers a fun, safe and challenging curriculum for students of all ages and riding levels in the English disciplines.  The program establishes a foundation of safety habits including ground handling, care of mount and care of related equipment.  The instruction under the direction of our head trainer Bill Payen includes, maintaining a secure correct equitation position at the walk, trot, canter and over fences.  The majority of our students rider our school horses but may also ride their own horse in our program at the same tuition rate.  Kelly's Ford also offers on site leasing options for riders in our program.  Students also have the opportunity to compete at on site and off site competitions at both the local and recognized level.

The program is set up at four levels:  Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.  Lessons are taught in small groups of 2-6 students on a Quarter Basis.  Private lessons are also available.  New student evaluations are one hour and are offered at designated times throughout the week.  When a student is placed at a certain level they will remain at that level until they accomplish the requirements to advance to the next level.  The  instructor will give a Quarter Progress Report and will determine whether or not at the end of each Quarter if a student is ready to move to the next level, by awarding a Certificate of Achievement for that level.  Students will also be recognized at the annual Kelly's Ford Awards Banquet.
