Canoeing
The Inn at Kelly´s Ford is located along the Rappahannock River which is officially designated as a state scenic river. The Rappahannock is popular among canoeists not only for its beauty but also for its variety of waters.
Our canoeing experiences range from a short two-mile flat water run to a 30-mile run with Class I, II and III rapids along the way. If you are looking for a nice easy ride along a beautiful tree lined river or a more challenging ride on Class II or III rapids, the Rappahannock River is the place to be.
For diversified
experiences, we also provide canoeing
on Mountain Run, water level conditions permitting, and the Rapidan River, which is a few miles from the Inn. The canoeing season starts after May 15th.
